These are some awesome facts that just surfaced recently. This is the second part in the series of all you need to know about RRR movie.

Bheem belongs to the Gond tribe, living in forests of Adilabad district, Telangana. His father was killed by soldiers of Nizam of Hyderabad during fighting. To take revenge, Bheem emerged as the leader and fought for the rights of his Adivasi tribe. His practice was guerrilla fight, hiding in the forest and grab weapons of opponent soldiers. The rebel leader was killed in 1940. Komaram Bheem is being played by N. T. Rama Rao Jr in RRR movie.

Raju belongs to the tribe of Andhra Pradesh. The spark got started during the Madras Forest Act, 1882. The core of this act was to make the life hard of farmers and other related people. There was a restriction on free movement and many agricultural activities. He also emerged as a leader against British Government and adapted the guerrilla war techniques. He was killed by British in 1924. Alluri Sitarama Raju is being played by Ram Charan in RRR movie.

As you can see both have sacrificed their lives in independence struggle and share similar backgrounds. This is how S. S. Rajamouli and his father K. V. Vijayendra Prasad scripted a fictitious tale where these both becomes friends and fight together for India. A huge thanks to this father-son duo to bring life to such gigantic drama on the silver screen. This is the fact behind the ‘RRR true story’ and its associated various rumors.

RRR movie budget

S. S. Rajamouli movies are becoming grandeur gradually. With each movie, the ace filmmaker is increasing his bar and slashing his own record. This multi starrer is a huge for Indian cinema industry. The movie budget of RRR is Rs. 400 Crore, as officially announced by the Producer himself, D. V. V. Danayya of DVV Entertainments. 

It is bigger than his earlier mega blockbuster series of Baahubali.

  • Production cost of Baahubali 1 (The Beginning) was Rs. 180 Crore.
  • Production cost of Baahubali 2 (The Conclusion) was Rs. 250 Crore.

RRR Cast salary / fees of actors

There has been a latest RRR leak.

There was a long awaited question that how much fees or salary has been taken by lead casts of RRR movie. The speculation of their charging amount was gigantic. If you see the scale of movie, it is but obvious that they have been paid a huge amount of money.

Given below are the salary figures of RRR cast as per latest updates in the Indian Cinema Industry. 

  • Ram Charan – Signed for Rs. 45 Crore. 
  • Jr NTR – Signed for Rs. 45 Crore
  • Ajay Devgan – His fees is Rs. 25 Crore. Fully paid. For around 8 minutes of role.
  • Alia Bhatt – Her salary is Rs. 9 Crore. Fully paid. For around 20 minutes of role.

One more interesting thing.

The Director, SS Rajamouli will have certain share of the movie profit. It may be around 30%.

Shooting locations

RRR movie shooting start date was November 2018. Main shooting location of is Hyderabad (India) to reveal the pre-independence era. The principal shooting started in November 2018. Due to Covid-19 pandemic, it was on halt. It was on and off due to second wave of Corona. 

For the final shooting, the crew went to Ukraine and Bulgaria (Europe) in August 2021. 

RRR Release date

Well, there is a long history of it. The release date of RRR was declared four times till date and got postponed. The corona virus wave and injuries of N. T. Rama Rao Jr did a hit to it. The chronological is as follows.

  • 30th July, 2020
  • 8th January, 2021
  • 13th October, 2021
  • 7th January, 2022

Due to Covid and Omicron virus spread the movie is postponed again from the slated date of 7th January. Various restrictions are taken by several states including partial lockdown and other kind of restrictions like night curfew. All the multiplexes and theatres are already in loss, as they are following the covid safety protocol of double occupancy, certificate of double vaccination dose along with the 14-day post-vaccine quarantine period completed before entering the premises.

On 1st Jan, 2022, the official Twitter handle announced that the release date is postponed again. New date is not confirmed yet. It is with respect to everyone’s safety. It is worth mentioning that many movies had already updated their dates, so they don’t clash with this giant one. The major are Pawan Kalyan’s ‘Bheemla Nayak’ and Alia Bhatt’s ‘Gangubai Kathiawadi’. Postpone of RRR will make a chain reaction for these and many other movies.

RRR Streaming Partners (OTT release)

This magnum opus will come on the two OTT platforms, Netflix and ZEE5. Although both have got the same movie rights, they differ in the dubbing languages. Following is the bifurcation of this multilingual movie.

  • RRR on Netflix will be stream in these dubbed languages: Hindi, Spanish, Korean, Portuguese, Turkish
  • RRR on ZEE5 will be stream in these dubbed languages: Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam
