Learn technical insights through Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 15 workshop.
In recent news, as announced in NAB 2018 by BMD, they integrate Fusion into DaVinci Resolve 15. It is a huge upgrade that makes Blackmagic Design DaVinci Resolve 15 a complete finishing software, rather than editing and grading tool. Apart from Fusion integration, Resolve 15 is fully equipped with lots of exciting new tools and workflows.
New features of DaVinci Resolve 15:
Fairlight in Resolve 15 is greatly enhanced with new plugins, and of course, with stability. Newly added ADR (Automated Dialogue Replacement) tool is one of the major highlights. In the segment of CC (Color Correction) and grading, LUT (Look Up Table) browser is the latest update. As name suggests, it displays preview in thumbnail format. On a breakthrough note, it also supports live preview of LUT output, if you hover or scrub on it.
Shared nodes / clone nodes are not to be missed. Editor and colorist can use it for multiple footages where they want to maintain color consistency. Rather than typical copy and paste, these shared / clone nodes works as ‘Instances’, which means if you change one, others gets updated automatically. The latest update of Resolve also provides functionality of having multiple timelines in tabs. For better streamlined pipeline, comments can be written on the clips.
