All about Framestore Launchpad Internship Competition 2020.
Framestore is one of the leading Animation and Visual Effects studios on international frontier. Apart from blockbuster Hollywood movies, they have also worked on top notch web series, commercials, music videos, theme parks and AR & VR experiences. Some of the projects of this Oscar and BAFTA award winner studios are Avengers: Endgame, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Avengers: Infinity War, Blade Runner, Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, The Martian, Gravity.
Framestore Launchpad Internship Competition is one of a kind. In this initiative, selected artists join Framestore’s London or Montreal studios as interns. They work on onsite and also receive salary for the same. By this way, he/she learns industry standard workflow, tips and tricks for faster production and post production pipeline with complete on-floor job experience. After the internship, he/she is industry ready professional artist.
But, same will not be the case this time. COVID-19 situation has affected all the industries, including ours also. That’s why Framestore has announced the remote / work from home scheme. All will be working from home as virtual work, that’s why there will be no salary given by the studio. But, there are many more benefits. Check out more in detail.
Some of major pointers of Framestore Launchpad Internship Competition 2020:
- Application opening schedule for internship: 17th April, Friday to 29th May, Friday 2020
- Notification to successful teams: It will be mailed no later than 19th June, Friday 2020
- Internship duration: 6th July, Monday to 28th August, Friday 2020
- Entry fees: None
- It will be team based work. Team strength can be 4 to 6 artists.
- London competition – Applicants must be of UK and EU residents, aged 18 years and over.
