Blackmagic Design Fusion can still be used as separate software apart from Fusion into DaVinci Resolve 15. This integration will smoothen up production pipeline of various editors and colorists, who mostly work on tight deadlines of project deliveries. They will be able to save precious turnaround time with minimal iterations. From the client perspective, it is also beneficial deal, as a single workflow will make redundant earlier project pipeline of switching between multiple softwares time to time.

The workflow of Fusion into DaVinci Resolve 15 is fairly simple and straight forward. Click on new ‘Fusion’ page in Resolve interface and all the footages of timeline will behave as pre-composited data with single output, inside node based pipeline of Fusion. Play around with needed tools of Fusion to make your composite, motion graphics, tracking, animation or any other work and connect it to the output node. That’s it! No need to render or disk to cache. Jump again to ‘Edit’ page to resume your work. You can also switch to ‘Color’ for grading or any other modules. An artist need not to worry about the color space, LUT or footage resolutions. Automatic production workflow of Resolve 15 will take care of it all without any data loss.
