The 11th annual 3D challenge is open for submission. It’s a platform that allows artists to experiment with new techniques and connect with like-minded individuals. The competition has evolved over the years, reflecting the advancements in 3D software and hardware.

Create a detailed 3D model of a car and place it in a captivating 3D environment. This task allows you to explore your creativity, whether you choose to design a vehicle inspired by real-world automotive engineering or invent an entirely imaginative concept. The final step will involve producing a stunning render.
You can recreate existing models (Tesla, Ford Mustang, Porsche 911 etc.) or create your very own imaginative concepts (flying car, an all-terrain vehicle, futuristic car etc.). Whatever you do, make sure to research the specifications and design elements. Your core idea and unique features of the 3D car must ensure an accurate representation through the rendering. For the same, shape and proportions must be accurate and visually appealing.
Add intricate details such as headlights, wheels, and interior features to enhance realism. Apply textures and materials that reflect the car’s surface—metallic finishes, glass reflections, and rubber for tires. You can populate the overall scenes with trees, buildings, or other vehicles to create depth and context in your scene.
After it all, design the CGI environment that complements your 3D car render. It must be a 3D environment, not a matte painting or AI created artwork. If you create a futuristic car, your environment must be sci-fi inspired with neon lights and advanced architecture.
The final step it to get your high quality 3D render correct. Do experiment with different perspectives and camera angles to find the most dynamic view of your car. You are allowed to enhance colors, add effects, or adjust lighting after rendering in the post production process.
