5 all time great games of Nintendo

Very few companies in video games have a long, vibrant, and intense history as Nintendo. Founded in 1889, Nintendo is turning 131 years old this month.

This Japanese multinational consumer electronics and video game company, which now develops, produces, and markets software and hardware, was started by craftsman Fusajiro Yamauchi originally built handmade hanafuda playing cards.

A far cry from its humble beginnings, the company gained prominence as an international leader in the interactive entertainment industry. Starting from it’s classic consoles like the GameBoy to the famous Nintendo Wii. There has been so much Nintendo has given us. Despite having to fix Nintendo Wii errors occasionally, the console itself has a great legacy. Nintendo’s dominance in interactive entertainment is mainly due to its original and colossally successful hit games. Let us take a look at five classic games of all time.

The Legend of Zelda: Breathe of Wild

Nintendo is known for its steady and methodical work. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild is proof that sometimes slow and steady wins the race. Years in making, the game beats the preconceived ideas of open-world adventures and combines the best bits of conventions along with an element of surprise. Unlike other games in the Zelda series, the breath of the wild gives you the tools to do anything you want right from the beginning. This paves the way for users to try out new things in the arena. The visuals, lights, and effects accentuate the onscreen scenery beautifully.

This game is said to have struck gamers around the world like lightning- literally. With a perfect score on IGN.com, GameSpot, and GamesRadar, this game is considered the most excellent.

Super Mario 3D World

Is Super Mario your favourite video game? Have you tried playing Super Mario 3D World yet? Toiling away in the Mario mines’ depths for 28 years by providing us with the best games of our generation, Nintendo did not let us down when it released Super Mario 3D World. The different levels in this video game are considered to be the best of all Super Mario games.

Unlike its exceptional predecessors Super Mario 3D and Super Mario Galaxy 2, this game creatively sets itself apart by outdoing the simplistic visuals by significant leaps and bounds. The impeccable animations and effects make it a visual treat for the players. The game is considered to be packed with playfulness, and Mario’s increasingly fetishist wardrobe has been expanded too.

There is an astounding amount of details weaved into the animations of the Super Mario 3D world.

Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker

In 2013, after the success of Super Mario 3D World’s ‘Adventures of Captain Toad’ challenges impressed Shigeru Miyamoto (director at Nintendo), he requested a full game be made out of them. This led to creating one of the most amiable characters in Nintendo gaming history: Captain Toad. By and large, Captain Toad: Treasure Tracker is considered the best action puzzle video game developed and published by Nintendo since its advent into the interactive entertainment industry.

Nintendo has put in a great deal of work into designing the arena, characters, and controls a fun and charming action puzzle game for the switch. You will hardly see a visual theme repeat more than twice in the game. The game uses optical illusions, which enable the user to swing the camera around to find hidden doors or secret items. Captain Toad, with his quirk and allure, has won the hearts of many gamers.

Luigi’s Mansion 2

While Luigi’s Mansion 3 is the title that elevates the Luigi’s Mansion series, the second version of the series is considered to be one of the best games launched by Nintendo.

Nintendo offers some of the most intriguing environmental puzzles the series has ever delivered. Additionally, the players also have control over two characters at once as you work your way through them. Luigi’s Mansion 2 is most suited for players looking for a warm and breezy game that is challenging, clever, and charming. Nintendo’s attention to detail has resulted in the flawless design and animations of the game.

There are not one but five spots to explore in Luigi’s Mansion 2. The sheer uncertainty that is embedded in every level of the game is what sustains the game.

Fire Emblem: Awakening

Fire Emblem: Awakening is a tactical role-playing video game developed by Nintendo and Intelligent systems. It focuses on the tactical movement of characters in the game across a battleground, fighting enemy units while defending home ground. This thirteenth version under the Fire Emblem series introduces various new techniques and mechanics to make players more central to the strategy than in the previous editions.

The game is highly customizable; this makes it more accessible. The players can customize their characters, controls, language preference, etc., too quickly. This game’s levels are considered highly unique, sophisticated, and challenging, giving the user a refreshing experience. The exquisite animation, stunning lighting, and rousing set design set it high on the mantle.

Like a fine wine, Nintendo seems to be getting better with age. One can be sure to be taken aback by surprise as Nintendo has hundreds of new games lined up for launch in the upcoming months.
