Charles Howard, Seabiscuit’s trainer, was a former car salesman who had never trained a racehorse before. But Howard saw something special in Seabiscuit, and he was determined to make him a winner.
Together, Howard and Pollard helped Seabiscuit to overcome his physical limitations and achieve greatness. Seabiscuit went on to win 33 races, including the Santa Anita Handicap and the Triple Crown.
