Here comes the latest edition of Foundry Live Streaming. In this Nuke webinar, they have taken the highly acclaimed Netflix web series titled ‘Wednesday’.
Wednesday tv series is directed by Tim Burton, who brings his signature style to the show. The lead character is played by Jenna Ortega, who brings a new level of maturity and depth to the role. The series follows her as she attends Nevermore Academy, a boarding school for young witches and warlocks. While at Nevermore, Wednesday must master her emerging psychic ability, thwart a killing spree, and solve the supernatural mystery that embroiled her parents of the Addams Family 25 years ago.

You will get some exclusive VFX insights of ‘Thing’ and how it came alive via visual effects. Check out how the industry standard Compositing softwares Nuke and Nuke Studio are used for the finishing of this iconic character. The post production was done by Emmy nominated visual effects studio Rocket Science (RSVFX).
Thing is a sentient disembodied hand. It can to move and manipulate objects, and it often uses its abilities to help Wednesday with her investigations. It is also a loyal and trusted companion to Wednesday, and it is always there to offer her support.

John and Kayden will show how they used Foundry Nuke and Nuke Studio to create ‘Thing’. The team will also how they create visual effects and making of Scorpio-pet, CG fire and other FX simulations. They will also discuss the technical challenges and how they overcome it, production pipeline and workflow of the softwares. Tom will discuss about this entire collaborative effort.
RSVFX is well known for their VFX works of The Boys, Poker Face, The Umbrella Academy, Crimes of the Future, Plane, Murder Mystery 2 and many others.
