About the speakers
Jamie Floodgate:
With no prior knowledge of animation, Jamie studied Advanced Animation at Escape Studios from October 2018 to February 2019. In July 2019 he landed a job with Blue Zoo as a Junior Animator on the new television series of Paddington Bear. He is currently working on the second season of Paddington as a Mid-level Animator.
Lauren Barnes:
Lauren is the Senior Resourcer at Blue Zoo and recruits for several departments across the studio, working closely with hiring managers to identify the most suitable & awesome talent to join them. She also leads on presenting at virtual recruitment events, provides the team with regular recruitment statistics, and continues to implement their hiring system.
Joel Airebamen:
Having completed his degree in Animation, Joel further honed his skills in the field with a master’s degree in Character Animation. Following this, he began his career in the industry as a runner at global visual effects house, Framestore. Joel has most recently wrapped up DreamWorks Animations animated feature Spirit Untamed, which was made in-house at Jellyfish Pictures.
Jack Bond:
He joined ILM as a ‘Graduate Animator’ back in September 2018, after finishing a two month internship at Framestore. He’s worked on some awesome projects including Aladdin, Avengers Endgame and season one and two of The Mandalorian. The Mudhon and Grogu (or Baby Yoda) from The Mandalorian have been personal highlights for him so far!
