Meaning of RRR

When the movie shooting was started, the running title was kept by this name. The meaning of RRR by that time was combination of first letter of all three major players of the movie – Ram Charan, N T Rama Rao and Rajamouli. But, gradually it got trending and a huge hit. So, later was it was carried out.

RRR stands for ‘Rise Roar Revolt’ in Hindi version. RRR meaning in Telugu, the original screenplay, is ‘Raama Roudra Rushitam’.

The RRR story is written by K. V. Vijayendra Prasad, father of S. S. Rajamouli. The duo has already spelled their magic through Magadheera and Baahubali series. It is their time to repeat the history one more time.

It has been a most awaited film after the theatre opening, post covid-19 pandemic. Well, the movie was already in hype ever since it got announced. For all Tollywood fans, this was one of the giant name is the list of N. T. Rama Rao Jr and Ram Charan new movie 2021. The movie teaser on YouTube has already broken so many records. 

RRR Mumbai Pre-release event

It is trending in current news. The Mumbai pre-release event took place on 19th December, Sunday with the catchy hashtag of #RoarOfRRRInMumbai at The Gurukul Ground, Mumbai Film City. Many snippets and inside stories of RRR full movie are shared in it.

To match the movie level, it was organized on a grand level. Such pre-release event is new for Bollywood, which is an established practice in the Telugu film industry. A gigantic amount of money has been spent on PR. The biggest highlights of this events are:

• The event costs around Rs. 9 Crore.
• The audience of this live event was around 3000.
• Around 100 special buses were organized, so Tamil fans can come to the venue easily.
• Huge sized cut-outs of Jr NTR and Ram Charan have been created to put on the stage.
• Salman Khan also made a special appearance with the star cast, director and Karan Johar. 
• N. T. Rama Rao Jr., Ram Charan and Salman Khan took special entries on the stage via specially designed aerial vehicles and cranes.

RRR story / movie plot

The plot of RRR full movie consists fusion of ‘Actual story’ and ‘Fictional story’.

It is a fictional story, based on the Indian freedom fighting genre. For the same, S. S. Rajamouli has selected the era of 1920s for the backdrop of the story. This period action drama movie revolves around characters of two Indian revolutionaries – Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju.

So, here is difference between ‘actual story’ and ‘fictional story’. Komaram and Alluri are real fighters, but they both fought on different fronts and never actually met each other in their real life. Komaram fought against Asaf Jahi Dynasty (Nizam of Hyderabad). Raju was the front man of the Rampa Rebellion of 1922–24, fighting against the British Raj.

So, Rajamouli thought for the fusion of both this characters and that’s how he and his father wrote the fictional screenplay of RRR where they both unite and fight together for India.

The VFX part of RRR is handled by V. Srinivas Mohan as the VFX Supervisor. He is the same guy behind astonishing Visual Effects of Baahubali franchise. He has received four prestigious National Film Awards for Best Special Effects for his mammoth works in the field of digital Visual Effects.

This period drama action flick is full of super stars from Indian movie industries of Tollywood and Bollywood. In fact, it’s a debut movie for Ajay Devgan and Alia Bhatt in the South movie industry. Alia Bhatt’s first look as Sita was unveiled on her birthday, 15th March, 2021.

Why Rajamouli cast Ajay Devgan and Alia Bhatt in RRR?

It is the very obvious question. To lure Bollywood and other Hindi stream audience? Well, the answer is ‘Big No’. The director is himself a giant, who don’t need such mediocore tactics. He has seen both Hindi actor’s acting skills and based on it, with demand of RRR screenplay, they both are selected. 

The main story revolves around Komaram and Raju. They both are two very powerful characters in themselves. To be very honest, Ajay and Alia both are in cameo roles. But, they both plays an integral part of storytelling, even if they are doing cameo roleplay. Ajay plays the role of Guru of Komaram and Raju. Alia, the lead female character, is to balance Komaram and Raju. The director don’t want to cheat the Bollywood audience, so he revealed all this information through a proper channel. Ajay might have only 8 minute role in the entire movie.

There is no love triangle in this epic movie. Alia Bhatt in RRR is paired with Ram Charan and N. T. Rama Rao Jr is with Daisy Edgar Jones.
