ftrack raised investment from Alfvén & Didrikson with vision of global expansion.
Based on SaaS (Software as a service) model, ftrack is a leading cloud-based project management system. It is specifically designed to cater various needs of diverse verticals of Media and Entertainment sectors. On 11th September, 2018, ftrack announced that venture capital firm Alfvén & Didrikson will invest $3.5 Million to scale new heights. It will be used to expand the team with extra developers and support staff for global expansion in Los Angeles, Shanghai, and Stockholm locations.
ftrack is dedicated to provide creative solutions for complex pipeline systems. The platform is result of continuous brainstorming with various leading artists and management personnel. It is being used in some of the major Animation, Visual Effects, VR (Virtual Reality) and Gaming studios worldwide. The list includes Luma Pictures, The Mill, Cinesite, MPC, Ubisoft, IKEA, LEGO and more. In SIGGRAPH (Special Interest Group on Computer GRAPHics and Interactive Techniques) 2018, Vancouver, ftrack released new features of ftrack Studio 4 and ftrack Review.
As ftrack raised investment, Miriam Grut Norrby and Maria Åhr from Alvén & Didrikson will become board members. Both have impressive credentials. Miriam adds her experience from working in Facebook’s global marketing solutions team and more recently as a venture capitalist for one of Sweden’s largest startup investors, Schibsted Growth. Maria Åhr, CEO and Partner at Alfvén & Didrikson brings with her 10 years’ experience with global investment bank Goldman Sachs.

Stockholm-based investment firm Alfvén & Didrikson and ftrack shares common future goals. So, it was better to synergies together and grow mutually.
