Legend is on the way of growth hacking with Shamitha Kattukandy as COO.

Coincident with the second anniversary of the opening of its facility in Pune, India, Legend 3D, Inc. (“Legend” or, the “Company”), announced the promotion of Shamitha Kattukandy to Chief Operating Officer. The announcement was made by Jeremy Novak, interim President and Chief Financial Officer.

Shamitha played a critical role in establishing Legend’s Pune office, ensuring that the facility was operational in just three months. Prior to her promotion, Shamitha worked as the General Manager of the Company’s Pune facility. During her tenure as General Manager, Shamitha implemented several strategic initiatives that resulted in a 150 per cent increase in global capacity while at the same time improved the Company’s output and quality. She also played a central role in conceiving and implementing the Company’s strategic plan to evolve from a studio that was exclusively focused on 2D to 3D conversion to one that focuses on both 2D to 3D conversion as well as VFX.

Shamitha joined Legend Pune in October 2017 from Stereo D. While at Stereo D, Shamitha headed as the studio’s production and was responsible for managing staff, as well as establishing and achieving business objectives. She served a critical role in increasing Stereo D’s productivity by approximately 30 per cent while holding its operating costs constant. 

With 12 years of experience in production pipeline, Shamitha is adept at managing all phases of project life-cycle from assessment to implementation; she also specializes in talent management from the acquisition to assessment. With Shamitha Kattukandy as COO, the studio is looking forward growth in every vertical.
