Most players think that executing perfect headshots is all about skill. Well, that’s not wrong. However, sensitivity settings, strategy, and the choice of weapon are also huge factors when it comes to this. So to improve your tactics, precision, and accuracy for headshots, we have listed some tips and tricks you can use to help you land a clean one-shot kill on the head.

So, are you ready? Let’s count head shots. Just make sure to use these safety tips for online gaming.

1. Adjust sensitivity settings:

For most FPS games, the sensitivity setting is a critical factor when it comes to executing a perfect headshot. The right setting effectively increases your chance of landing a one-shot kill on the head.

For optimized aim sensitivity in Garena Free Fire, you must set the red dot sensitivity to a hundred and the general camera sensitivity to 85 or 50, depending on how well you can manage it. If you are using a 2x scope, set its sensitivity to 16 and 4x scope to 18, with the AWM scope to 20.

You have to try and test these sensitivity setting recommendations and see what works best for you. Optimizing the sensitivity setting alone can already improve headshot accuracy.  However, there are other factors that you should also take note of.

2. Custom controls:

It is best to not change the primary layout of the game as it will jumble the gameplay and confuse you, especially if you’ve gotten used to the basic controls. However, there are some controls that you can still customize. You can set a 4 key claw control that is suitable for your personal playstyle.

Using a game launcher like Games.lol for Garena Free Fire also allows you to do key mapping and set hotkeys that are accessible and handy for you.

3. Adjust aim settings:

While already at the settings menu, check on the sensitivity setting, and be sure to tick the “Preciso na Mira” option that can be found in the controls tab. This will turn off automatic assistance that makes landing headshots more difficult.

4. Crosshair position:

Crosshair position can be a little bit tricky, and it is a huge factor when it comes to your chances of landing a headshot. The recommended position of your crosshair is a little bit above the enemy’s head. That’s because when you fire a shot, the crosshair automatically shoots down towards your target’s head. So placing the crosshair a little above the enemy’s head will give you a little allowance when the weapon shoots a bit downwards on the target position.

Such setting will give you a better chance at landing on a clean one-kill headshot.

5. Drag and shoot:

While aiming for a headshot, you can drag the aim downwards and fire the button upwards. This is a trick that most players don’t know about. When a shot is fired, it automatically levels the aim to the target’s headline. And for a more stabilized and precise aim, you can crouch and shoot.

6. Practice and train in the lobby:

The best way you can improve your aims and accuracy is to practice, practice, and more practice. If you want to improve your headshots, then always aim for headshots. It is the only way you can practice this.

So for the first couple of matches, avoid inflicting basic shots. It can be challenging since the target area is smaller and there is a high chance you’ll miss. But if you’re successful, it could deal a lot of damage. The training lobby is also there for a reason. It’s a good practice ground because you would never die there. You can just keep shooting until you get used to the right aim!

7. Use sniper rifles:

When it comes to weapons, Sniper Rifles give you a better chance to execute swift headshots. In Garena Free Fire, there are several Sniper Rifles you can choose from. These are SKS, Dragunov, Kar98, AWM, and CG15.

Each of these Sniper Rifles provides better precision than most guns, and each has a different range and amount of damage. If you are not familiar with any of them, you better try them all and see which one works best for you.

8. Strategy:

Adjusting settings, crosshairs, and using the right weapon will not amount to anything if you don’t have a strategy in place. There are also times that you need to be quick at running or hiding to avoid retaliation.

Shooting enemies at a distance requires excellent accuracy in order to land a one-kill headshot. If you fail to do so after 2 consecutive shots or more, you must retrieve and hide. Look for a good spot, come out after a few seconds, and then try again.

Now that you know how to improve your aim and accuracy to execute swift headshots, the only thing you need to do now is to put these theories to the test! Download and play Garena Free Fire on PC for free today. Now go and show your enemies who’s the real boss!
