Silhouette 2023.5 has incorporated many AI (Artificial Intelligence) and ML (Machine Learning) powered tools and processes to speed up the workflow of the post production pipeline.
New features of Silhouette 2023.5
- Generative AI: Latest Stable Diffusion XL model generates realistic faces, legible text within the images, and better image composition.
- ML Node: The UpRes ML node uses machine learning, trained on thousands of images, to resize images. Preserve critical features while achieving high-quality results.
- Denoiser ML Refinements: Improved models trained with even more images produce higher denoising precision.
- Tracking Enhancements: Integrated Mocha and Planar Tracker now track multiple layers as well as subtracted layers.
- Regrain Auto Sample: Automatically finds the best area to sample grain.
All these speedup the process of rotoscoping and paint/prep works. Apart from these two major VFX works, the new features of Silhouette also helps for better grain management, key/chroma (green and blue screen removal) projects, smooth tracking and many more supporting visual effects works.
Other great benefit of Silhouette is that it is available as a stand alone software and plugin both. It is tightly integrated with many other industry standard softwares including After Effects, Premiere Pro, Nuke, Resolve, Fusion, and Flame. The seamless collaboration between such cross platform applications make it much more convenient to use.
